Samurai X

No, it's not a dirty movie about men with swords. They're awesome OVAs about men with swords and the protagonist Himura Kenshin or Rurouni Kenshin as in the manga. Vastly different from the tv series with graphic violence, adult themes, political intrigue loosely based on historical events and did I mention blood and gore? Not that much violence would be shown in the tv series with him using the reverse blade style and tbh it's targeted towards another age group anyway. It has very good characterisations and the action sequences are awesome, wish there were more of 'em. I didn't see Reflection 'cause I had been hearing bad things about it and that it strays from canon…not that that would've stopped me but whatever. Doesn't have much action apparently, that's what I thought was missing. The Battousai must hold aloft his magic sword otherwise it's criminal. That's what I watch him for anyway. The magic of the blade and the man.

Saw Vendetta. I kept thinking the dude was Errol Flynn, but I think he's dead. I could be wrong. Anyway, it was good. Not awesome but good-okay. I wanted more of the choreographed fight sequences but that wasn't forthcoming and Portman's acting was kinda jarring my nerves. She was okay in a couple scenes but the rest was her usual.

Oh and did I mention I saw the pirates part 2? Man…what a complete and utter ridiculous excuse for a sequel. I didn't think it was 'good fun' or whatever fucked up reviews people are coming up with. I want my money back. I paid in GOOD FAITH for 8 people!! I wanted to see a wrapped up story or at least a stand alone one with continuation. Answer a few questions/tie up a few loose ends in a sequel, thats the rule…but what did we have here? Oh let's throw in more questions and loose ends because god, we didn't have any. One aspect of whatever they threw in should have been answered then, even darth vader tells luke he is his father in strikes back goddammit. Okay, maybe this is an over-reactive rant. I think it's that hussy's fault…y'know the one that ruins most movies she's in…whatshername? Ms. Knightly.
